A lifetime involvement in creative pursuits adds to Henry S. Olguin’s rich and varied background. As early as elementary school, he began playing the cello, sax and piano and landing leading parts in school plays. Although switching his focus to the athletic arena in high school, he still managed to perform in bands, act in school plays and write and produce radio shows. His college career at the University of California at Berkeley involved more of the same. While there, he earned letters in football and track, received the University Theater’s “Outstanding Actor” award and earned a degree in rhetoric.
While enjoying a successful professional career in advertising, marketing, public relations and production, he learned and mastered the process of creating powerful ideas on demand. More importantly, he took a special interest in analyzing the creative process and experimenting with and teaching a variety of creative techniques. He has concluded that many people clearly underestimate their creative abilities and erroneously believe it is the exclusive birthright of artists. He developed the Creativation™ approach out of those experiences and is now eager to share this valuable knowledge.
